Dan and Judy Childers started the business in 1969 located in downtown Portsmouth originally named Childers Piano and Organ. Within a year or two, guitars, amplifiers and sound systems were added and they became known as Childers Music Center. Childers has been southern Ohio's premier music store and is still operated by the family. If you haven't been to our store you are missing out on a very fine display of vintage guitars and amplifiers. Dan has been collecting these for many years and they will soon ALL be up for sale. The store is Dwaine Childers (son) and Judy Childers.
Larry Collinsworth can also be found in the guitar studios teaching guitar and bass lessons.
